Chief of Staff
Team:Product·Location:Paris·Type:Full-time
About the Role
As Chief of Staff (preferably alternance), you'll work directly with the CEO and founding team as a force multiplier across the whole company. It's a rare seat: you'll see strategy, operations, finance, hiring, and partnerships at once, sit close to AI product development, and own the projects that don't fit neatly into any one team. We're looking for someone who turns ambiguity into structure, uses AI to move faster, and ships.
What You'll Do
- Run the operating rhythm of the company - prepare leadership meetings, track priorities, and make sure decisions turn into action
- Work alongside product and research on AI product development - helping scope features, translate customer needs into requirements, and keep the roadmap moving
- Stand up internal AI tooling and agentic workflows to automate our own operations - putting Pleias's data-and-models approach to work inside the company
- Turn messy inputs into clear outputs: briefs, memos, decks, and analyses that help the founders decide quickly
- Support go-to-market across both motions - Stratum and Synth - by coordinating between product, research, and commercial
- Help manage partnerships and external relationships, preparing for key meetings and following through afterward
- Build the lightweight systems (dashboards, trackers, docs) that keep a fast-growing team aligned
About You
- Currently pursuing a Master's (business, engineering, public policy, or similar) and eligible for an alternance contract
- Exceptionally organized, with sharp analytical and writing skills
- Hands-on with AI tools, and excited to use them to run operations and accelerate product work
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive projects without close supervision
- Fluent in French and English
- Genuine interest in AI, data, and the European tech ecosystem
Nice to have: experience in a startup, consulting, or operations role; exposure to AI/ML product development; comfort with data and basic financial modelling; familiarity with the AI or enterprise-software landscape.
